Dr. Shah Rukh Raufi
On the 06th November the Center for Strategic and Regional Studies(CSRS) hosted the official opening of the three-month course “Introduction to the Basics and Principles of Politics and International Relations”; a program that was held with the presence of university presidents and professors, government officials, researchers from the Afghanistan Academy of Science, and students interested in the field of politics and international relations.
The Ceremony began with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran.
After that, Honorable Dr. Shah Rukh Raufi, the Director of the Center, while welcoming the guests and participants, explained the major goals of this course and emphasized that this training program is important not only for students and researchers, but also for government employees and political activists. He added that familiarity with the basics of international relations provides a better understanding of global developments and informed decision-making at the national and international levels, and this course can be considered an important step in improving the country’s scientific and practical capacities.
Hekmatullah Zaland
Next, Honorable Hekmatullah Zaland, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered his speech and thanked the Center for organizing this course, emphasizing its importance in the current conditions of the country and drawing the attention of the attendees to the practical aspects of this course.
After that, Honorable Professor Dr. Muzammil Islami, Professor at Kabul University of Education, delivered his speech on the necessity and need of this course.
Professor Khalid Ahmad Habib
In the next section, Honorable Professor Khalid Ahmad Habib, President of the Mili Private University, delivered his speech and emphasized the need for political jurisprudence at different levels of the country, noting that this training course can be an effective step towards cultivating such cadres, adding that in the current complex conditions, having a deep understanding of international relations and global politics is a necessity for every country.
Chief Researcher Habib Shaker
At the end of the program, Honorable Chief Researcher Habib Shaker, Chairman of the Scientific Board of the Center, thanked the designers of this course and, while appreciating the efforts of the professors and organizers, wished all participants success and prosperity, and expressed hope that this course could bring valuable scientific and practical achievements for the country.
