The Center for Strategic and Regional Studies (CSRS) started the six-month program “Teaching Principles and Basics of Translation” on May 06, 2023 for qualified and graduates of English language and literature faculties, ended on Nov 05 2023).
The program included two theoretical and comparative stages, and the focus of the six-month program was more on the comparative aspect and implemented in two stages.
In the first stage, for three months, various methods of specialized translation were theoretically presented by the respected professor Dr. Abdul Jalil Kohdastani. In this process, various texts were compared by the participants under the supervision of the translation teacher.
In the second stage, which lasted three months they chose a very important and valuable book called “Make Your Business Agile” as a comparative project. This book was translated by the participants as a group work during three months.
In the end, the graduation ceremony of the graduates of the course was held on November 16, 2023 in the presence of Dr. Shah Rukh Raufi, the head of the center, Dr. Mohammad Haroon Khatibi, a member of the academic board of the center, and Professor Dr. Abdul Jalil Kohdastani, the course instructor, in the hall of Center and awarded 12 participants with the certificates.
The administration of the center also presented a commemorative shield to respected professor Dr. Abduljil Kohdastani in recognition of his cooperation.
The program ended with prayers.
